ANDRÉ MATOS: New Brazilian Concert Footage Posted Online

"Mentalize", the second solo album from André Matos, was released in Europe on February 1, 2010 via SPV/Steamhammer (three days earlier in Germany). The CD was issued in Japan on August 26, 2009 via Avalon/Marquee Inc. The Japanese edition of the album includes two bonus cuts.

Matos' first solo album, "Time To Be Free", came out in Japan on August 22, 2007 via Avalon/Marquee Inc. The CD was produced by Roy Z (BRUCE DICKINSON, HALFORD, JUDAS PRIEST) and Sascha Paeth (KAMELOT, EDGUY, RHAPSODY, FREEDOM CALL) between November 2006 and February 2007 at Ultra Sonica and Brainless Brothers Studios in São Paulo, Brazil and at Gate Studio in Wolfsburg, Germany.
André Matos has joined forces with guitarist Timo Tolkki (STRATOVARIUS, REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE),bassist Jari Kainulainen (STRATOVARIUS, EVERGREY),keyboardist Mikko Härkin (SONATA ARCTICA, KOTIPELTO) and drummer Uli Kusch (MASTERPLAN, HELLOWEEN) in a new melodic metal project called SYMFONIA. The band entered Studiomega in Varberg, Sweden on November 25 to begin recording 12 songs for its debut album, which is scheduled for a March 25, 2011 release.
SYMFONIA has signed a four-album deal with the biggest Japanese metal and rock label Marquee Avalon for the territory of the entire Asian region, including China. Negotiations for the other territories are still in progress.
